Can you buy fake things in Mexico like you can in China?

Nothing can compare to China my friend because I have been to China and Mexico. All the quality fake bags and sun glasses are made in China. In Mexico, they are a little expensive.

The place you want to go to is called 'Tepito' in Mexico City. Its an open market square in Mexico City that sells a lot fake stuff. Heard there was a police raid 3 weeks ago.

Sure - but why go all the way to Mexico? You can buy fake name-brand sunglasses anywhere!! The Dollar Store, Flea Market, on the STREET. Try it!

Oh yeah, lots. However, you need to know where to go- to find better quality for your money, and oh, don't get busted! For example, in Mexico City- there's a place called Tepito, that I heard of, where the merchandise is Real and low price. ;-)

yes you can, they are all over the place. i never buy anything "real" in mexico becauses chances are it's a fake anyways.

YOU GET ALMOST EVERYTHING IN MEXICO, BUT YOU CAN THE SAME FAKE GLASSES HERE INTHE UNITED STATES. I KNOW AT THE STREET FAIRS HERE IN CHICAGO YOU CAN GENERALLY GET THREE PAIRS FOR LIKE $20.00 BUCKS AND THEY SELL THESE AT ALL THE STREET FAIRS AND THE FLEA MARKETS

Â¿On what place of Mexico are you coming?... please avoid buying fake things becouse most of them are sold on unsafe areas. If they are unsafe for us mexicans think of a tourist.
Think twice an have a nice visit.

Tijuana, BC Mexico is the best place for fakes. High fashion handbags knock offs are great too.

Of course it's one of the countries with the most fake stuff. I good place to go is to the outdoor markets known as over ther "El Mecardo"

If you go to Mexico DF, Tepito is the place to go.....however, BE VERY CAREFUL! It is very dangerous there, and the area is famous for traps and scams. I would separate your cash and hide it all over your body. Do not walk in a big group of tourists. Rather, separate, but ALWAYS keep close and in each others' view. Wear simple clothing, no jewelery, and KNOW SPANISH. You will be a target if you go in there with broken Spanish. I have gone there many times.....and have great pieces to show for it. But I went informed and smart. Be careful.
