Cancun questions?

I have a few questions regarding cancun

1. is it rebuilt after the hurricane?
2. will there be a lot of people (especially high schoolers) during the first week of april
3. if I'm seventeen and going with a group of 18 year olds (we're all seniors, but my b-day is in june) so with this knowledge i have a new set of questions
3.a. Will I be served alcohol
3.b. Can I get into clubs (esp daddy-o's, daddy rock's and senor frogs)
3.c. Should I get a fake ID before the trip
4. where are good places to meet girls?

1. I was living here before the hurricane and I'm still currently living here in Cancun. The majority of hotels are rebuilt just a hand full still rebuilding. The beaches are ten times better than it was before, with 3 times more sand then before.

2. First week of April there should still be alot of spring breakers. There should be High Schoolers there also, but the majority will be college students.

3a. Definitely!!! Don't worry! They don't card here. Especially during spring break, truth is they never do, if you look old enough then you pass!

3b. YES! YES! YES! Not a problem!

3c. There's no use for a fake ID here in Cancun!

4. Just stay in the main night life area in the hotel zone. Right there you have daddy-o's, bull dog, the city, all the restaurants, bars, and majority of the clubs right there next to each other. You'll definitely meet girls there. Senor Frogs attracts alot of the American tourist (college students, all the kids from the US).

Don't worry you'll have a blast, you won't want to go home!

Maybe I can answer some of your questions, I´m Mexican and this is what I can tell you:
1.- Not completely but most hotels are open and ok.
2.- Don´t know about your American Vacation, but in Mexico Easter vacation starts on April 1st although not many young people from here will go to Cancun due to the hurricane. You will find some, but not as crowded as it used to be.
3.a.- Nope! You must be 18
3.b.- Yep! No problem, especially if you are going with older kids. Sometimes they do ask for your ID and you´re supposed to be 18 but it´s easier to get into night clubs than to drink alcohol.
3.c.- You can do that, but as a "grown up" I have to say you must not.
4.- Think I can´t help you here. Heeee!
Have a great trip!

I see kids like you getting served alcohol in the cancun area all the time. It is rebuilt after the hurricane. There are lots of college kids in Cancun during spring break, and some lucky high schoolers. I don't know about where the girls are, but everyone seems to talk about Coco Bongo. Get an Id before you go, but don't get caught. You don't want to end up in a Mexican Jail. Like one tour guide told us, it's all inclusive, but not like what you were looking for! hahaha Be smart, and be safe! Don't get yourself into trouble. It's not worth it!

Permit me to answer this question for you. Right now Cancun isnt the best time to go and visit because if you go you will be heart broken and that the Mexican government doesn't want.

For the Spring break is when a great majority of people from high schools decided to visit Cancun.

Lets continue:

Due to your age, you will not be able to consume any type alcohol whatsoever like wine, champagne, whicky, rum, screwdriver, etc., etc., but however you will be allow to drink soda like Pepsi and Coca Cola.

Yes you can enter those places but you must adhere to the rules of the establishment.

If you get a fake id, in Tijuana, then everybody will know about because a fake id is not an orginal id.

To meet a good girl, and not a prostitute, you can go to any discoteque but if you do want a prostitute, then it is a different area because that area I dont know.

Good Luck

About your questions:

1.- yes, it´s been rebuilt and it´s more beautiful than ever since everything is brand new.
2.- Cancun always has alot of people, don´t worry about that.
3.- If you´re 17 they will let you into most discos, no problem.
3a.- I think you will be served alcohol. That doesn´t mean that you should drink.
3b.- As I said before, yes, I think they will let you in into almost any disco. There is a law that says you can´t get in, but Police in Cancun doesn´t inforce that law, that´s why it´s the favorite destinations of springbreakers.
3c.- Don´t bring a fake ID. You won´t need it.
4.- The best places to meet girls in cancun is practically everywhere. The beach is good, Plaza la Isla is good, the discos are better. Start with senor frogs and then go to Daddy O. You can´t fail.
Hope this helps.

I was recently down in Cancun in May this year. They were ravished pretty badly by the hurricane. However Cancun is definately looking great! There are a few hotels that aren't completed. Reason being before the hurricane even hit some of the hotels contracted before the storm even hit. There are only so many contractors in the area to where some of the hotels had to wait to rebuild.

Cancun prices are great right now because they are really trying to draw in tourists again. It is such a big part of there economy. There are hotels I would recommend and others I would never stay in OR recommend. Seen as your young I assume you probably don't have a very large budget unless your parents are paying.

You will not be able to drink if you are under 18. Despite popular rumors, mexico isn't a place where you can just drink anywhere. There are clubs you can go into, but they will indicate that you are underage. You will be able to enjoy it though either way. Fake ID I would say don't bother.

The first week of April is a springbreak week. There is no way to know HOW many highschoolers will be there however.

As far as meeting girls.....your 17 what do you want a one night stand mexico fling? Come on now...if you meet someone you do....if not it's ok. Plus now a days you have NO way of knowing if one is clean. You should be very careful of this no matter where you are.

From one who has met a person on vacation it can be quite hard to meet one you like only to have to leave. I was very sad when I met this guy in Cayman Islands and then a few days later, fantasy was over and time to go back to reality and that reality didn't include him.

Have a Great Time and be safe!
