what's being 17 have to do with anything? under 18 people still have to follow the laws the rest of us do. You have an id I assume, a birth cartificate, and can get a passport. Right now you need an id and birth certificate. I believe that you don't need a passport for canada or mexico until jan 1st 2007. |

One, why would you go to Mexico without one? Did you lose it? If so, you'd need to visit the US Embassy for a replacement (if you're in Mexico already) Otherwise, go to the nearest office to get a replacement.
If not and you just decided that you can break the law because you don't want to apply for and pay for a Passport, then you'll get what you deserve.
They'll need you to provide proof of citizenship like a notarized official birth certificate and it may take you a few days to sort things out. |

Yeah the passport law has passed but you don't have to have on until December 31, 2006. After January 1, 2007, all people, including newborns, will have to have one to come and go from the US. no matter if you are a citizen or not. It doesn't matter after 1-1-07 if you go to Canada or Mexico. You will need one no matter what! |
