Hi there, cuernavaca It's about 50 kilometers from Mexico City.
By car you should be doing from 50 to 60 minutes, by bus should be like 1 hour and 10 minutes.
There are line buses runing from Mexico City to Cuernavaca every 30 minutes from south Mexico City bus terminal

I agree with the above answers, but I would add that it could take up to 3 hours if you're leaving Mexico City during heavy traffic. The highway to Cuernavaca was recently re-paved and is a very smooth and beautiful ride. Enjoy!

50 Miles (80km) from Mexico City. A friend of mine is studying in that town now, he said it was nearly a 2 hour ride to get there factoring in traffic.
