I checked your photos & yes the Cozumel beaches look every bit like your photos, if not better!!! I'm a certified scuba diver & I own a scuba diving travel agency & I've booked plenty of scuba diving & skin diving trips to Cozumel. The beaches are clean & the underwater visibilty can be as great as 100 ft. You know the water has to be clean & clear to see this far. Also, Cozumel is noted for having some of the best diving in the world & they have an underwater marine park. Cozumel is the cleanest & best area in Mexico if you're looking for great beaches & they have plenty of water sports!!! They even have a tour on a glass bottom boat which I would recommend if you're not a diver. You can see everything underwater as if you're diving while you're on this boat. I've never heard of anyone not loving their trip to Cozumel, so have fun!!!!

The water in Cozumel is the Caribbean Sea water. The water in Puerto Vallarta is the Pacific Ocean. Big difference.
Cozumel has white sand beaches, the beaches in Puerto Vallarta are a brown color. It's not as attractive.I was disappointed too. I loved the town and people of Puerto Vallarta but not the beaches.
Your second website is what the beaches look like. The first website has been color enhanced.
The Island of Cozumel will not be a disappointment.

The sand around Cancun is so white and the beaches in some areas are so clear that you can see several feet below and catch some marine life.
Yes PV have some ugly looking beaches , they have plenty of stones and in some places you cn´t walk without sandals, but there is some very good ones in nearby Nuevo Vallarta and the area of the Marina. |

in puerto vallarta the water just isn't as clear and beautiful as on the mayan side |

YES. Just got back from Coz yesterday. We stayed at the Palace resort. Keep in mind that the water reflects the sky so if the day is overcast the ocean may change colors, look more denim-colored, but when the sun is out it is amazing - well, Caribbean blue. The sand is very white so the ocean reflects the sky more intensely. Every beach I visited was clean. In Cancun you wade out and look down at your feet and it is like looking at them through pale turquoise glass. |

I went to Cozumel last year and the beaches were gorgeous. I would suggest that if you go, go rent a scooter and ride around the entire perimeter of the island (its not that big) you'll see so much. And there are so many pretty shells on the beaches. My favorite place is Cozumel so far. |
