You MUST have a passport to flt to Mexico NOW. If you travel by LAND or SEA, you will not need a passport until after next summer...the exact date has not yet been set. You can read the site below....top half of page carefully. since the date has not been set , it may be wise to go ahead and get passports even if you are travelling by land. There will be a grand rush when that date is announced! see 2nd site for all passport application information. |

You do not need a passport to enter Mexico. As an american citizen you need a passport to return to the U.S.A! You can get into Mexico and Canada with a birth certificate it the return trip without a passport that will jam you up! |

ok you dont need it.. for now cause i think by july or something (cant remember) us citizens will need a passport to cross the border (back to the u.s)but if u hub an id or something like that u can go right now and back without a passport |

yes you do need a passport now. in fact, i think you may need a passport to cross all borders out of the united states. including canada and mexico...any places outside of the country...not alaska and huwaii. enjoy your vacation. |
