You really dont need any vaccination to get into Mexico. We have a very good Heatlh System so you wont get sick here. Just don't eat those shrimps or clams taken directly from the beach, they are usually contaminated. So be sure to eat in "nice" places or where you can see if the food looks good. |

I have lived here all my life and I don't have those shots and it is not obligatory for any foreign person comming in. There was a time long ago that it was needed but now it is not. Now, many peole will tell you that you don't need 'em if you are going to the north but you do need it if you are going to the south. It is all a lie, whreaver you go, north or south you don't need those shots. If you want 'em anyway it is still an option but it will be for extra-precaution. |

I didnt have them, but Will it be the rainy season? Mosquitos and out breaks occur after rains that leave standing water. the malaria pills are a little wierd for some people, bad dreams etc. they cost around 6 dollars each in the states and around 20 cents in mexico. good luck and when in oaxaca make sure to have some of the cheese its wonderful. |

I took the vaccination for typhoid and a medecine against paludism every day, but I didn't meet anybody else who did ! it's a bit more risky in the south (Chiapas and Yucatan) so no problem if you're not going there. If you do, take sthg to protect your body against mosquitos - you'll solve both problems !-
remember no vaccination is compulsory - anyway ask your doctor ! |
