Do many people in Caba San Lucas speak English?

Hola. Cabo is a resort town, so all restaurants, resorts, nightclubs and anywhere else tourists go will all speak english. You start to run into less english in towns about 2 hours away, or smaller mom and pop stores or novelty shops, or say the car wash.

People in Cabo will speak english if you go to a very americanized resort or area. For instance, if you go out to a restaurant on the beach (let's say the office), the waiters will speak english. At your hotel, the staff will all be able to speak english and most likely, a doctor will be on site that is well trained in english. It is all relative to where you are in Cabo. Stay near other Americans and you will be fine. Have fun!

Those that work at the Resorts,(and at some popular restaurants, tourist shops) and deal with the tourists and visitors are often taught English when they are hired. Our resort did, at least.
Those positions that deal with the tourists usually have a basic comprehension of English...front desk , concierge, waiters, bell hops, billing, reservations, etc. Those that don't need to probably don't know English...groundskeepers, maids, maintenance workers, security, etc....

most everyone spoke english. The merchants on the street actually spoke better english then I thought they would.

Typically most touristy areas in mexico and the caribbean have many english speaking people... It wouldn't kill you to know a few basic words though if you happen to come across someone who doesn't speak it.

I was wondering if this poster can read. As this forum is for Cancun questions. Not Caba San Lucas. Guess you can't read.
