I love Mexico it is a laid back place no one is in a rush down there. My husband and I are building our house down there on land from his family. Everything or close to it is cheaper down there. I lived with my 2 kids (10 and 15) down there while my husband stayed here for 3 months we lived on 150 dollars a week that includes food entertainment, clothes, medical and what ever else we needed. I was able to buy steak for 20 pesos which is 2 dollars here and it would feed us for 2 meals. As for the kidnapping it happens when an american flashes their money around in big city's mostly Mexico City but if you are carefull you will be all right. |

Edit: FYI: the kidnappings generally happen to rich mexican families, not tourists. Just use common sense when you go. |

I really like Mexico. (I went there on several cruises.) The people in the tourist areas are very kind, but I wouldn't recomend going to sertain places. There is a really big difference between the tourist areas and farther in. Hope this helps a little. ^-^

Mexico's is a place I plan on visiting in the future, i think there is allot of beauty there, but I'm also a little scared at the same time, because of the kidnappings, and holding people for a Ransom so I wont go Intel i have someone I know well,that knows, everything there is to know about Mexico. |
