Does Mexico Stamp a USA Passport Upon arrival/Exit?

Say you fly into Mexico City, Mexico, from Los Angeles. Does Mexican customs stamp your passport when you enter the country and/or if you leave the country? If they do not, will they if you request a stamp?

Yep they stamp it alright. Matter of fact they love to stamp everything. Every piece of paperwork.
Ive lived here for 2 years and own a boat, motoroscooter , jet skii , my home. They stamp every piece of govt paperwork there is !

Jammy
They definitely will stamp your passport when you enter the country. It depends to which airport you arrive if they will or will not put an exit stamp but in mexico city they only put the entrance one

Lol, I like the first answer. They stamped mine when I came in but not when I left. They did stamp my visa though so I assume if I didn't have that they would have stamped my passport. I like my stamps to be in order too and they did just stamp on any blank page.

Yes they stamp in Mexico City on entering.

Mojitos are Yummy
They stamped mine on entry and exit when I went to Cancun last year. Kind of messed with my OCD a little though, because they stamped it just on any blank page. ARGH! :)
