i have. i go every december to see my family. i've been going ever since i was born. i go to different parts of mexico to see other family as well. but i stay in mexico city the majority of the time i'm there in Mexico. i love mexico city, but i wouldnt' wanna live there.
the city is great though!!!! there's so much to see and buy! and my cousins live there so we always go out and they show me around becuase they know the city better than i do. i really enjoy my time there, but for some reason, every time i go, i ALWAYS get sick. it's like meant to happen. no matter how much medication i take with me, i always end up sick. |

If you are traveling to Mexico you can do the following:
If you want to go to museums and go shopping you should go to Mexico City. The historical parts of the city are beautiful. The places you can visit are the following:
The “Centro” (the main square of the city): It is where the governmental buildings of Mexico are located. The architecture of the buildings is beautiful because these are from the times of colonization.
Reforma Avenue: It is one of the most beautiful avenues in the world, it can be compared to the ones in Paris.
Anthroplogy Museum: Here you can learn something about the cultures that existed in MĂ©xico before the Spaniards came to colonize. It is quite interesting.
Coyoacan: It is a beautiful colony of the city.
Xochimilco: It is very fun when you go with several friends.
Bellas Artes Museum.
If you want to go shopping you can go to two molls. “Perisur”, it is in the southern part of the city, or “Santa Fe” on the Northern Part of the city. These are the biggest malls in the city although there are like a thousand more. (You should check on which part of the city you are staying because the city is so big that you have to choose which mall you should go or you will spend four hours in the traffic.)
There is also a bus for tourists that takes you to the most beautiful parts of the city. I recommend it. |

Hi I was there many times..very big, with many thing for watch,you need around 15 day for know almost (minimun)lots of museums the pink zone,the Zocalo, fine arts palace,lots of murals , Frida kahlo home, coyoacan, world trade center,Xochimilco,Ajusco mountains and many things more....so can be interesting I recommend 3 things 1.- contact with someone that live there they know the city better but watch out if is of your confidence,2.- don´t eat in the streets you can be sick go to a restaurant I see a chain named VIPs good food accessible prices.....3.- watch this pages www.sectur.gob.mx or www.mexicodesconocido.com lot of information here |
