yes, cancun was devastated by the hurricane but is rebuilding as we speak. most of the resorts are back up to par and everything should be great by summer. to be sure, call your local travel agent and they will happily tell you what you need to know about where you plan to stay!! have a blast!! |

It clearly depends on the resort. I'd check around to be safe or just book somewhere else altogether be even safer. If you're vacationing in the low season, you should be able to find a steal of a deal pretty much anywhere. |

Just got back today from Cancun! It definately got affected, construction workers are working on it constantly, a lot of buildings are still sad looking, along with the shopping areas, clubs, etc. Palm trees have not bloomed yet, the beach is pretty washed away, but it's working it's way back! I would think it'd be best to go in the winter next year, just to make sure everything is looking better and up and running. And, double check the websites of the places you want to go to! Along with traveladvisor.com! I would go to a different spot in Mexico, just so you get your money's worth! Hope this helped some! |

Yes it was affected. we went to the bahamas instead of Cancun for Christmas because it was blown away. I imagine they have brought it back since thne though |
