Ephedra in Mexico?
I know this is gonna sound weird, but just curious - am I allowed to bring Ephedra with me when I go to Mexico? Please dont just leave a message saying how bad it is for me... as long as its taken appropriately, it is fine. It is one of the oldest weight loss methods. The only reason its dangerous is if you already have a bad heart or if you abuse it and overdose... so back to my original question... am I allowed to pack it in my suitcase when flying to Mexico? I'd really rather not get into an issue at customs so if its a big deal I'll leave it... but I'd like to take it. Anyone have any idea? Thanks!
If you have a prescription for it and its in its original container you can take it. If you don't LEAVE IT AT HOME!!!! I promise customs are not pleasant kind or understanding people. You can be detained and charged with transporting illegal drugs.
Side note.. depending on where you live you may want to avoid such things anyway because while in mexico you run the chance of GI problems and ephedra can worsen the symptoms. Just a word of caution! Have fun on your trip!

As in many countries, all medications require prescription. If you are subject to a Customs review, it might be seized or you may even get into trouble with them.
