Of course at the airport there is lots of restaurants like startbuks, Mac-donals,
But I’ll recommend you to try Mexican food, just try to do it in a good restaurant or where your friends tell you, if you have Mexican friends.
I don’t know if you have been in Mexico before, but if is your first time is not as bad some people thinks,
If you want any help, or you want to know my city please contact me at my email.
Hope you enjoy your trip to my Lovely Country… |

If you're transferring to another flight, you're best option will be to hang out in "Sala B" - this is a huge waiting area on the "domestic connections" side, where you'll probably be directed to wait anyway - unless you're transferring to another international flight. (There is a big "sala" on the international connections side too, but there aren't as many food choices there.
In any case, it's easy enough to go to Sala B. First, you'll need to clear Immigration, which is a pretty quick process. Then head towards the lower gate numbers. As you walk down the hall, you'll have to show an inspector that you passed through Immigration, and then you'll go through a basic Customs search (having your carryon bag scanned). Once through that, proceed to Sala B.
There you'll find Burger King, Starbucks and McDonalds. HOWEVER, I recommend "100 Percent Natural" (breakfast food is excellent), or if you feel you want a Mexican Denny's-type experience, there's "VIPs" which has quite good Mexican food, sandwiches, burgers, etc... (There's also a Wings restaurant out along the main hallway, which is similar). At this hour, I'd recommend a good cup of coffee and a plate of enchiladas suizas. They also have various egg breakfast dishes.
In Sala B you can keep an eye on the monitors to find out which gate you'll go to next for your departing flight. |

I've been to the airport in Guadalajara and they had a lot of good food. Yes they did have a Starbucks and I don't remember much but i think the had a MacDonald too I'm pretty sure all airports have some kind of fast food place from the U.S |

They definitely have restaurants but 5 AM is awfully early and most places will probably be closed. But they should start to open in an hour or two. And you don't need to limit yourself to things available in the US and certainly not chains. One of the beauties of leaving (suburban) US is being able to eat and drink in places that are NOT chains. |

Theirs burgerking, subway, etc and i think they have starbucks,im pretty sure! If not, their is knockoff starbucks called D'volada, meaning quick! Its the same thing as starbucks, identical! But to tell u the truth their is gonna be a starbucks. That airport is huge! |

There are plenty of options, they have a food court area and cafes. I would not really go outside the airport unless you know where your headed, outside the airport are some hotels which are fine and a big neighborhood which is not always the best area.
I don't know if the food court is 24h, but something will be open I am sure...

I agree with Michelle!
At MEX, Sala B is the place to get something to eat. It's true, though, that at 5am your choices will be limited. There's lots of places to get coffee and a pastry - they're like tiny convenience stores.
But if any of the mexican food places is open and you've got time to sit down and eat, I recommend trying a plate of huevos a la mexicana with beans and tortillas... yumm! That'll get you through to your destination. Most of the restaurants in Sala B are pretty good. Only real precaution, I wouldn't have anything with chorizo in it while en route - you'll regret it later. |
