Official legal drinking age in Mexico is 18. However most places are very relax about checking IDs, especially in a touristic town like Cancun.
If you are not use to drinking just be careful. Be sure to designate a person in the group to watch over the rest. Have fun. |

18 is the drinking age in Mexico. If you are with family, they will serve you unless you look very young.
Be careful if you are going with friends. The jails in Cancun are not like US jails (which aren't very nice either) |

Just lie to the hotel and say your 19. They asked me for I.D. and i showed them one without a birthdate and there wasnt any problem i got my adult bracelet and headed staright to the bars and got wasted for a week staright. I was 16. this happened 2 weeks ago |
