Going to Cancun Palace next month. How do I get the black VIP bracelet?
We're going to the Cancun Palace next month and heard that they treat you a little better if you have the black VIP bracelet. We booked through a travel agent and assume we'll just get the same color bracelet as the rest of the cattle. Is there any way to get the black bracelet without paying more or actually booking as a VIP?
Ya, even though they are for the VIP timeshares all you have to do is this...go to a bar in the resort and focus on the same bartender for a day or two. Give him great tips then hit him up for one of the bracelets. If he/she has good contacts they will get you one. It will cost you a little bit of money, but if you hit it off with the bartender they will treat you well. Just remember if you flash US dollars you can get anything you want there. Good Luck!!!

The black wrist band are given to members who own a timeshare at one of the Palace resorts. The only way to obtain one is to have purchased a timeshare from an owner. From what I have read as long as you tip throughout your stay you will get very good service. We are staying at the Sun Palace Resort (couples only - no kids) from Aug 29th till September 6th - I will post if I learn anything different once we return. Hope you have a great vacation!

I read last night something about it - this review said that the Grand Oasis resort had the black bands (more expensive per night rate than the others because it allows you to do more things). I'm not sure how you'd get a black one though - I'd like to know cos I'm planning a trip there next year.
