There is NO Health RISK in the Cancun area at all. There are NO Travel Alerts are issued for this area at all. Cancun is open and doing business as usual. The strong swine type of flu is all over the world now, not just Mexico City. The W.H.O. says, "To restrict travel would be useless and not helpful". They are only out to spread fear without knowing the facts, plain and simple.

December is a very long ways away. The flu has affected a total of 2500 people out of a population of over 130,000,000....a tiny percentage. Every year there are over 200,000 cases of regular flu in the U.S. and about 36,000 people die of it...nobody is making a fuss about that! Relax...In December ,things will be fine.

Hmmmmm well kid then stop freaking out. December!?!?!? If the flu is still around by then I guess half of Mexico will be dead. If you're sooooo worried then stay on the ship and don't visit any of the ports of call.

it's a good chance that it will pass but maybe you should get a shot before you go if they were really concerned then they would cancel the cruise.

Don't do it, i know its disappointment, but that is better than catching the swime flu.
Why not book a different cruise somewhere else? There are many, just google it and do a bit of searching. :) Enjoy!

i'm sure it will pass but if it continues then most airlines are already letting you cancel plans at no charge, so if it continues you might want to cancel.

My grandmothers friend just got back from a cruise in Mexico, and her son came back with Swine Flu. Just be careful.

I wouldn't think so it's kinda a really big deal people down there have to wear face masks and schools and churches are shut down. Unless some miracle vaccination comes in that little time i doubt that will even help because last time this came around in the seventies they produced a vaccination and started giving it out to people and the vaccination started killing people because they didn't test the side affects long enough. But then again im no scientist, I'd just be really clean down there if i was you
