I've been to Mexico several times. It is a great vacation spot with no shortage of things to do. What part of Mexico are you going to?

TubThumpin
I've been there at least 10 times, its a great country. Nice people, nice beaches, big cities, small villiages, good food, etc...

I go every year. It is a large country, though, and diverse just like in the US (if that's where you are from). Baja is desert-like, the west coast near Puerto Vallarta and up in Nayarit is more tropical with lots of foliage and frequent (but short) downpours in the summer. The Yucatan peninsula has great ancient ruins and much calmer waters than the west side. And there's Mexico City if you want something more cosmopolitan. Monterrey is also nice if you're not looking for a beach area, and is surrounded by lovely mountains.
I've found Mexico to be a wonderful change of pace and culture and have loved every place I've visited. I'm sure that where ever you're going there, you'll have a great time.

nicolee,
I did and it was great! I loved it and I wish I lived there.IT BEAUTIFUL! the beach's are awesomly beautiful. The sand is white and the water is aqua!

Mexico is great!
I love Cabo and all of the little towns around it.

I would say that billions of people have been to Mexico.

I have been to Mexico 5 times, and it was better 15 years ago, before the tourists started throwing their garbage around.
I prefer Cozumel to the Mexican Riviera, mostly because of the snorkeling and diving.
The food is so so at most places. I also find some of the employees rude, unless you tip them right away. However it is very cheap to go there, and not terrible for the little money it costs.
I much prefer Jamaica and Grand Cayman. I find the people much friendlier and the food and service is usually better.
I suppose if I spoke Spanish I might find people friendlier?
Either way just remember that you are in a third world country. Nothing will be the same as the U.S., so don't expect it to be.
Just roll with the punches and enjoy yourself. As long as it is warm and on the ocean, and you have a drink in your hand, it can't be too bad!!!
