is totally safe , playa del carmen , wow you will love it. there is mostly european tourism there , cancun is good , but playa , wow
i have been in the "Tucanes Hotel" and is not very good , ill suggest you to rent a place instead of a hotel room , you will save a lot and will be more comfortable

i was just there 2 weeks ago (1st week of march) and it was fine!!!
no problems at all.. i never felt unsafe.
and when i went there were still a buncha people so GO! there is nothing to worry about!
oh and go zip lining at selvatica!!! best time ever. |

i went on feb 14 for a week and it wasnt bad at all!!! i had so much fun!!! We stayed at the feista condesa americana i think thats right...and all the people were so nice! |

cancun is safer than most american cities. the drug violence is mostly along the border. if you are not involved in the drug trade you have nothing to worry about. mexico has a lot invested in the tourist trade and drug lords are not gunning for american tourists....americans, after all, are their biggest customers. plus, they dont want to extradited to an american prison for killing american tourists. mexican narcotraficantes are scared to death of being extradited to the u.s for some reason.
americans are in more danger of being date raped by a fellow american than getting gunned down by a mexican hit man for a drug cartel.dont believe the media hype...the only americans to die from violence spilling over to this side are the ones involved in it. go to cancun and have fun....you should be fine |
