Fun, not really , I have lived there.
If you visit tourist places like chichen itza in Yucatan you will be amazed, Mayan culture is wonderfull, I find it the best ancient civilization, Egiptian is cool , too but i like Mayan better.
Go to some websites and see all the things Mexico has to offer.
I suggest reading some history before coming!
Cancun is great also, Mexico has great beaches.
I hope you have fun, |

I live in Mexico and sometimes its fun other times a great aggravation: two currencies, weights and measurements, two languages...outrageous cost of electricity. However, beautiful beaches, friendly helpful people, good food. Border cities give the wrong impression of this beautiful country. |

Yes, its a beautiful country with amazing beaches, people, and food. I'm American and I think all Americans should go to Senor Frogs. |

Yes it is beautiful, the border is not a very nice place to visit, fun just the weekends but a bit dangerous, it depends what u r looking for (if it's party then u will find it on the border) u should go to the southern coasts, not only cancun. Have fun |

I have never lived there, but I have visited. I would be very careful especially at night. Don't carry to much cash with you and don't carry to much credit cards in your wallet. There have been people that have been jumped and had everything stolen from their pockets. |

Please do not say what MARK J said unless you want to get a black eye. anyway I visit Mexico at least 4 times a year and the most I stay is for a month during the summer. It can be fun depending on where you go. The funnest part for me though would be to interact with the people and culture of any where that I go. So hit the taco stands, go to the beach, visit nautural caverns, speak the native language and so on and so forth. |

I live in Monterrey, which actually is only 2 hrs south Texas.
Texas is a big place, and so it is the border with Mexico.
Normally border cities are fun, and just as they show in the movies: Arid, bars, cantinas, cowboy-like guys, etc.
They are very attractive for American youngsters since in USA the minimum legal drinking age is 21, and in Mexico is 18. So they go there and do all the things they can't in the US.
If you visit El Paso, well, actually Ciudad Juárez can be funner than El Paso. If you are interested in going deeper, go to Chihuahua: nice cities, beautiful girls, good night life. Plus you can try and visit the Sierra Tarahumara and the Copper Canyon which are totally amazing.
If you go to Dallas/Ft. Worth, you are 10 hrs away by car from the border. If you are in Houston, it's about 5 hrs away. If you go to San Antonio, it's about 3hrs away. So please take it into account when coming over.
If you go anywhere between Laredo and Brownsville (the so-called Texas Valley, because of the Rio Grande river), the border cities to visit are Nuevo Laredo, Reynosa or Matamoros.
If you go to San Antonio or the valley and you are interested in going deeper into Mexico, you may consider visit Monterrey. It's a big city, around 3 million people and great night life. Also, good concerts are always in the box office. For instance, we Beyoncé and Gwen Stefani will be here in just a matter of weeks.
When visit Mexico, give it a try, relax and adapt to the very very very flexible standards of living. Unlike Texans, Mexicans can be very warm. |

About 100 million people live in Mexico.
The border with texas is not very pretty, so it depends on how much time you plan to spend in Mexico. About 3-4 hours in it starts to get nice. But if you want to eat good food or drink real beer you just have to cross the border, any Mexican snack joint would provide something better than texas.
have fun! |
