We always rent a jeep and tour the east side of island. Awesome views. Be sure to bring your camera. They have a few very cool bar/food type places on that side of the island.
We also took a ferry over to Playa Del Carmen. That was a lot of fun.
Or you can grab a cab and go to San Francisco beach and hang out, snorkel and get a great beach tan.
Have a great cruise.

Yes, on Royal Caribbean, from Galveston. The snorkeling is great. Try to take a tour to the mayan ruins. |

BRING YOUR OWN SNORKEL GEAR (just a mask and snorkel is necessary, but u'll have fun with this.)
i went twice via cruise actually. it was alot of fun (not the best place on the cruise tho. the first time was miserable tho. It rained, and the ship left about 50 drunk people on shore because they missed the time cut off to be on the boat. but the second time was great. the best thing to do is rent a car(jeeps are the most fun) and drive up the coast. stop anywhere interesting, but i recommend corona beach. its really pleasant, you can order drinks and fish tacos, and while you wait, go for a dip, or snorkel. When we went, we saw 2 eels(hmm eel plural, how do u say that?), many fish, and an octopus. It was better snorkeling than many snorkeling tours i've been on!

We snorkeled. The fish and coral were beautiful. We had a great guide. Eat at the Shrimp Bucket. It is great and highly recommended by the cuise lines. |

Hi,
The best Cruise Line to the Caribbean is Royal Holiday. They port right in San Miguel Cozumel. The town has a lot to see and shopping is great. When the ships port the price is reduced.
If you are into water sports try SCUBA diving, even an introductory dive will be a blast. Para-sailing the views will be out of this world.
If you go this summer it will very very warm close to 90 but the sea breeze will cool you off.
For tours you have to see the Mayan ruins in-land this is a day long trip. The coastal ruins a small in comparison. If you drive the island it will take you about three hours. Stop in and Iguana's and say Hi. It's across the island on the windward side. Oh and you can drink the water on the island with no problems. Enjoy.... |
