Has anyone traveled (by driving) from British Columbia to Mexico?
I´d like to know some things about that long and surely fun trip.
yes i have, twice by car, thrice on MC. and i am heading there again in nov.
if you belong to bcaa, or know somebody who does get a bcaa mexico map. best info on the back and the map itself is more accurate than others i have bought.
the highway numbers in mx are commonly different than on any map but MOST of the time the destination signage is ok.
lots of stories, but hate typing so if you have any specifics on where you are going, ask.
you have to get a tourist visa into mx, plus you have to temporarily import whatever vehicle you are driving. you must have ownership papers and vehicle must be in your name, or partners name and the owner has to be the one doing the paperwork.
icbc doesnt work in mx. you must buy mx ins.
have fun,

Hola. Yes. I have made the trip (down the baja) several times in the past 30 years. There is so much to tell you, I couldn't possibly list them all here. My favorite website is cabobob's. He goes through all the towns and sights all the way down the baja with pictures. There are lots of things to see, lots of things to prepare for, and lots of things to think of security wise.
Your question is very vague. What exactly are you wondering about?

Have driven from Seattle to San Diego twice. San Diego minutes away from Mexico. What do you want to know?
Juan2three
Yes,like *wamom* I have made the trip from Washington to southern California.I also have driven from WA.to south Texas and from there via Mexico and the Pan American highway all the way to Panama.
From B.C, to San Diego is a breeze,San Diego to Panama is a little more challenging.
*wamom* probably has more current information on the drive to San Diego. If you are interested in anything from Texas to Panama feel free to email me.....Have a safe trip!
