Puerto Valllarta is very safe and friendly because it is a relatively small city. There is no need to worry about theft. |

I would just make sure your infant has a passport. We travel around the world with our kids but I always make sure they have a passport. It has their picture, a birth certificate doesn't. I was always afraid someone was going to say that's not your child and then I only had a birth certificate, but yes, I am one of those paranoid mothers.

I definately wouldnt take an infant. My wife got travellers sickness there and it last for a week after we returned home. The water, sanitation quality, and air quality are nothing like the states. Why dont you consider Hawaii or Florida until the baby gets older. |

It is safe...fawcett water is not drinkable but it is clean....the air is clean its on the beach...The only suggestion I would give you is do not go out with the child to the Malecon on Friday night or SAturday night...since those are party hours. Take the infant in daytime..there is some neat sculptures and its fun to pose with....you will be fine. Have fun! |
