I was in Cancun for two weeks in March. It looks great. I was there during the time they rebuilt the beach. It was just an amazing thing to see. Some of the hotel/resorts were still remodeling or reworking from Wilma damage... but all in all Cancun has come back as beautiful ..if not MORE beautiful than ever!!!!
The Mexican people and government are working so hard to rebuild the beaches. I don't think that by now, you'll find any problems. The new airport is so nice too... alot less problems getting through customs, etc. The Mexican people are all wonderful !! Can't say enough good things about them !!!
I am going back for two weeks of Paradise again next March !!!! You'll love it !!!

We went 3-4 weeks RIGHT after the storm last year and everything looked alright. I dont know what the big hype was. I think there may have been some severe damage to the residential side of Cancun but bars, and hotels looked wonderful as ever for us. The worst problem was seaweed.
