I think mexicans are more spontaneous than americans, also communicate physically a lot (dance, hug, touch) and americans don't touch too much, don't even kiss hello. And yes, Mexico is part of North America

once again mexico is part of north america... that´s the first difference between people from the united states and mexicans. In the USA people have little knowledge about the rest of the world.

Mexican families are a lot tighter. Parents in the USA usually worry about their own retirement fund, and give no money to their children after the are 18. In Mexico, parents help their children along the way, most of them for as long as they need it (pay for the kids college, help with rent, etctetc, help their children´s business), and the kids will take care of their parents when they are old, (financially, etc)

The biggest difference I notice between mexico and USA is the rules. In mexico you are free.... In USA everything is, don´t smoke here, you can´t stand here, don´t put your feet here, stay in a single line, etcetc... Mexicans are way more relaxed.

Another big thing in Mexico is you can bribe anyone. Money talks. If a cop stops you for speeding, you give him $20 dollars (just an example) and you´re free to go... That has it´s pros and cons.

In the states, everything is more plastic. The food is all high sodium, trans fat, etc... Mexican food is way more natural, and delicious!

The reason most Mexicans go to USA is because of the shopping. Shopping for clothes for example, in Mexico, is a lot more expensive and limited. No old navy, forever 21, target, or anything like that.

Both countries have their perks. I'm both American and Mexican, and I live in Mexico. I prefer living in mexico 1000 times better. Love the states for shopping and concerts, but will never live there.

Mexico is different than the US. However, just like people from different parts of the US can be different, so can the people from different parts of Mexico.

In the US, 99% percent of the time you can trust that a police officer is the good guy, in Mexico less than 1%, or he is a good guy at a price. In the US the politicians are allowed to steal a little as long as it doesn't get out of hand, in Mexico it is out of hand.

If you receive poor service in the US you can complain or go somewhere that has better service, in Mexico you will get treated poorly and you will like it.

In the US, cars have to yield to pedestrians, in Mexico pedestrians should not have been in the street.

In Mexico every religious holiday is celebrated to the fullest unlike the US. However, Mexico doesn't actually abide by any church laws where even non religious people in the US follow the commandments.

In the US catholics don't eat meat on Fridays during lent with the exception of fish. In Mexico they eat fish or chicken on Friday's during Lent.

The US government does much more for the poor in the US. The public schools are free in Mexico except you have to pay for the books, paper, etc. The poor can't afford that so it is just free education for the low to middle class.

Well the big difference is Mexico is in North America so I would have to say that you need to sue your geography teacher.

Mexican families , as a rule, are more family oriented. It's not unusual for many family members living within a close proximity to one another. That makes it easier for Holiday Get-Togethers, Anniversaries, Birthday Parties, Quinceaneras, atc...
Children are the family's bright spot and get a lot of attention.
Children respect their elders and often help to take care of them when they get old or infirm.
Mexican folks are generally hard working individuals, loyal and trustworthy.
The church plays an important role in their lives.
They have an earthy sense of humor.
They are friendly and try to be of assistance to strangers.
=====
American families often live far apart and seldom see each other...we have a very mobile society.
Making money is generally more important than the children.
Children seldom respect their elders or figures of authority.
Many Americans have the attitude that "the world owes them a living"..especially the younger set raised by parents in the "Gimme Era"...
Many Americans are prejudiced against certain foreigner types and either dislike them, make fun of them or totally ignore them because of their color, assumed background or language difficulties.
