The simple answer is no. You can visit him as a tourist and stay 90 days at the time. But if you want to stay and live there, you have to apply for a visa (FM2 or FM3) Those Visas are renew every year.
Because you are married to a Mexican citizen you are entitled for the visa but you still have to apply for it first.

no. you have to get a visa like everyone else does. they will grant you a tourist visa, after you get there you really should apply to be a permanent resident, since your husband is a citizen. you will get the visa, but you must apply. even if you are going for a short trip, having a permanent residency, or citizenship can ensure medical care, etc... if you were to be there and get in an accident or become very ill.

I guess... Mexicans may now have two citizenships, and if you are his wife you are now also considered Mexican in Mexico.

You don't get a passport - you get a visa
A tourist visa is good for 180 days - not 90
Yes you can apply for a long term visa when you are there

Enter Mexico as a tourist with the FMT tourist visa that most people receive at the border or on the plane or ship. Once here you apply for an FM3( visitor visa) or if you are planning to live here quite a while and maybe work you can apply for the FM2 ( technical immigrant) visa. You need a pasport to return to USA and to apply for the FM3 or FM 2.

Yes you can but it will be better if you get a passport and stamp it at the aduana. One for 6 months will cost you 25 dlls and you will be staying completely legally and that will give you peace of mind.
