I am going to cancun for my honeymoon at the end of May. I figured that would be enough time for them to rebuild. I have a friend who went a couple of months ago, and he said it still had a way to go with rebuilding. |

By the end of May they say its going to be ok, I sold several textiles and fabrics for the rebuilds, they have been working really hard to have everything perfect for the spring break, so dont worry by may everything will be ok.
You wont regret your honeymoon. Congrats!! |

A friend of mine who works in the travel industry went down there for some hotel inspections & said that it is still pretty messed up. She said the the town itself is okay-they cleaned up the streets & it looks decent but a lot of the hotels are still not nearly at 100% yet...

I would change my plans and go somewhere else, especially if it's your honeymoon. It will not be up to honeymoon standards by may. Sorry and good Luck Try puerto vallarta , mazatlan,Ixtapa, or somewhere on the west coast. Huatulco is nice too |

I went there in November. I don't know where you got the idea that there's a lot of flys and it smells, but there is a lot of construction going on because of last year's hurricane. There were some hotels, bars and shopping centers that were still closed for repair, but there's still stuff to do.
