How do I get my US passport? |
I am supposed to ravel to Mexico with a friend in February. She just told me I need a passport. Unaware I was to be going there I never checked. Now I have to get my passport by February 24th. |

You can go to the site below to read list of documents you need and to print out the forms to fill out. then you can go to 2nd site to locate nearest passport acceptance office...some can take pics there and some cannot. If they do not do pics there, go to walmart or a passport picture place to get them...then when you go to turn in your papers you are prepared and can save a trip. You need to pay the extra $60.00 to have your passport expedited AND the extra fees for express mail....then you should get it in 2 to 3 weeks. There are 13 regional passport offices in the U.S. If you happen to live near one, you can call for an appointment and get your passport the same day. See 3rd websote. Go to the US State Dept passport site to get all of the info you need. You will be pushing it, but you can get one by the time you leave.

You better got to the courthouse as soon as you can and tell them that you need a passport by what every day you need it,they tell you if they can make that happen.you better get your self some pic before you go there and bring your birth-certificate and some checks because you have to pay them there. |

the post office takes too long..about 6 weeks... if you're in a hurry go to a US Consulate and they'll give it to you very fast.
and YOU DONT NEED A PASSPORT TO GO INTO MEXICO
Just bring a copy of your birth certificate and photo ID and they'll give you a tourist visa... don't worry |

go to your post office ,( for your first time you need to) i had to pay more for my passport but i got mine in 10 days. go to passports.com your find a lot of the things you need your find a phone # to call for help they can be *** but ther help |

call local post office, ask for passport application (free), you will need to fill it out, have two passport photos, you can find these in drug stores that develope film, and the hardest thing is you need your certified birth certificate, this means it has a raised state seal on it, and you need your I. D....with all these things in hand go back to post office, you may want to pay extra $60 for expedited...will come in mail sooner..think its $97 for adult passport....good luck |
