In all honesty all the web sites and whatever you find or do will be a waste of time. Sorry.............
To be honest its just better use of your time to just do it when you get there. Rent a hotel, stay with friend and get busy.
I live in Acapulco and tried to kinda do what your attempting and thats my experience.

A Real Estate agent is a fairly good choice if you know one. Like anywhere there are excellent people and self-serving ones that'll put you in a place where they'll get something. But Mike g's reply is really the best choice and then you can pick your Realtor. The challenge is that the area and community in general can change so much in only a few yards and you won't be comfortable if its not your style. Also, things like phone lines and city water (pressure usually) are an issue too. I had to refuse a great little place in a nicer Mexican community because there were no more phone lines available, and none planned. I can't work w/o DSL. There are so many little things that come up for the first timer, not big, but its nicer to have things pointed out and ask questions. I am real big on having enough water to flush the toilet, thats a deal breaker for me. You decide after arrival. |
