Aside from the U.S.A. almost all countries encourage school children to learn at least 2 languages. Native language (e.g.: Mexico-Spanish) and a foreign language, it make sense to learn English because aside from being neighbors, business wise it is smart.

Also, many Mexican Singers.. are bigger (famous, that is) than most U.S. singers because they are considered INTERNATIONAL STARS, not just national. Though few U.S. singers (e.g.: Beyonce, Justin Timberlake etc. are world renowned most Mexican Singers are by far more famous worldwide). And Yes they are Mexican, hard as you may find it to believe.... Life is not as geo-centered as you may think...there is something else outside of the U.S. And just in case you don't know, Mexico has ancient civilizations who were mathematicians, astronomers, arquitects, they did invent the most precise calendars, more precise than even today's calendar... etc. the list goes on.

See some people are "bi-lingual", that is they are able to speak two or even more languages!

They actually learn a second language in order to make mor emoney or gain more fans.

Many professional singers of different nationalities learn songs in 2 or more languages. I am an American living in Mexco, and I know many Mexicans who speak English and have heard many Mexican musicians and singers who sing in English , French, Italian, and German as well as Spanish.

How? Because they know both languagues. Or the songwriters do. Or they get translators. Do you mean Why?

What?!!!!!

Some german, duth, swedish, spanish, italian, ...... singers sing in english and in their native language. It is not surprizing. It is just globalization. Do you know Celine Dion?, she is qubecoise, her native language is french, but she sings either french or english, even she has sang in spanish.

By the way, I answered you in english, beeing mexican.

Hasta luego, ¡que tengas buen día!

Want a good job? learn a foreign language. It is a must.

Same thing for musicians!
