How long does it take to drive from Louisiana to Cancun, Mexico?
LOL, only a person from Louisiana, such as myself, could ask about that drive. You could fly for less than $200, which would be cheaper than buying the gas.

39 hours and 51 minutes per expedia driving directions.
you're better off taking a boat. 2061 miles

cathygirl is completely right. Driving from to Cancun from Louisiana would be circling the Gulf of Mexico almost all the way around. A flight that crosses the Gulf of Mexico would save you a lot of money and specially TIME (2 hours flight), while driving you would take at least 3 days. Book a cheap ticket online in sites such as www.cheaptickets.com which always works for me!

It depends on the starting point. . .

check on yahoo maps. It's better than asking for directions on here.

If you're leaving from Louisiana the best and cheapest way is to catch a cruise ship out of New Orleans. It's quicker than driving too.

In all giving some time for stops and traffic jams and the hookers and customs after you get into mexico you'll probably take about 5 days. Maybe more if the customs officers don't like you. Well, have a good trip.
