Spike what`s up with you? the word STATE according to the Websters dictionary means: a political and territorial unit within such a community (is the meaning among many others).
So, Mexico has states of it´s own, just like the US has their own states. Calm down. It is not everything about illegal immigration and politics. Like already stated above Mexico has 31 states (of it`s own) and a federal district or Mexico city (D.F.)
There are many Countries that have a Federal system just like in the US. aka Mexico or Argentina for example. Just like Germany in Europe.

States? None of the U.S's states belong to Mexico if that is what you mean. I am so tired of Illegal immagrants comeing up here saying that California or other states are not really Americas and they will not learn English or follow the "White" mans ways.
