Once you get to Mexico currency conversion doesn't mean a whole lot. If you're buying Pesos here then it does, but most of the vendors in Mexico use a flat rate.

The actual exchange rate is close to 15, but you'll never actually get that. Just got back from Cabo and most places were using 13:1 to 14:1 for their rates. Anything in that range is pretty acceptable, I wouldn't get bent out of shape for anything 13:1 or better. So by that definition, 100 pesos=roughly 7.5 dollars (100/13.5). You always want to ask up front, don't wait until you get the bill to discuss it!
It was 10:1 only a year ago, so the dollar has definitely gotten stronger. The downside is most of the tourist locales have simply raised their US prices to keep pace

cuz i remember when i wuz in mexico the value of the dollar kept going up and down then lower then it got higher again so yea it really depends on da value

about 10 pesos maybe a little less. like 9.5 but they love american money down there. just make sure you are paying a reasonable price.
