You will need extra cash for tours to the ruins - Some cash for the purchase of souvenirs - and I usually have a few dollar bills for charity - - 50 bucks for tours and another 50 if you go visit other hotels and their shows and music Etc - So 7 days, I would say 500 - or less if you use your credit card - |

it depends on what you want to do, if you are in a all-inclusive resort may be you don't need too much money.

I have been going to all inclusive hotels in Riviera Maya for a long time and you need to tip maids about 2 dollars a day so that is$14,$1 for the transfer on the bus,and about $50 if you want souvenirs like silver and gold,etc.,If you want an excursion but I never went on one because there is always plenty of things to do in the resort,especially if you to Iberostar resorts.
PS,don't forget to buy alcohol at the duty free as it is cheap(if you are over 21)($30 for 2-3 bottles of tequila,at least thats how it was last year.)The total is about $95 without tours
If you want a good room, give the person at the front desk $10-20 for a suite if they seem nice!
But I bring about $200 just in case! |

Depends what you want to do outside of the resort.
Personally, $500 is plenty for me... for souvenirs and the odd meal and beverages.
But if you want to take some tours, another $500 wouldn't hurt ; ) |
