Depends on how much you'd like to do. If you wanted to stay at the resort all day and laze around and do only free activities and excursions, you wouldn't need any money since you're going all inclusive (good choice. Drink lots!).

If you're planning on going out, figure between 20- 80 dollars a night depending on how far you'll go (cab fare) and how much you like to drink. Always carry two or three tens "emergency money" in a "private" place.

For excursions, figure about $20-40 a person, an excursion. They get more expensive but that's a decent average.

Don't forget shopping! I manage to limit myself to $100-$200 a trip abroad but if you're a big shopper, you'll want more!

If that seems like a lot of money, don't forget you can do what I did the last time I went to DR- one snorkeling trip ($20), one night out partying (~$40), and one shopping excursion (~$100) and laid out on the beautiful beach the WHOLE rest of the time! It was amazing and cheap and I still had great pics and little gifts for everyone.

You don't really need to spend too much if it's all inclusive...I'd say bring at least $500 a piece just in case you wanted to do an excursion or buy souvenirs.

At an all inclusive resort - $500 to $1000 for two (unless you plan on staying at the hotel the entire time. Then, you could probably get away with as little as $100).

I'd say about 2-3 thousand dollars each for spending money would be about right.

I can't believe people are telling you that you need thousands of dollars. Cancun is a tourist trap, and restaurant prices are high, but you can get by and have a lot of fun on the same amount of money you would spend in the USA.
That is, if you like to go out and drink and eat every night, you'll want to take $100 per day. Snorkeling tours cost about $20 per person.

Hmm if you mean paying for everything I'd say you'd probably need several thousand dollars between airfare, transportation, food, hotel, etc.

You should make sure you budget your money so that you have enough to last you the entire stay. If you think your gonna eat and drink out at restaurants, research to get an idea of the costs. Then after you get an idea of per day cost (say $40-70) you can multiply it by the number of days. This will help you not overspend and have to charge too much.
