I am Mexican, and the answer is simple, you have to be 18, the legal age here. It is totally silly to say "Mexico!!! any age" or "You have to be tall enough", because here, as in US we have laws, and we would like tourists to respect them as we respect yours when we as tourists visit US.

when i went down there the age was sixteen but make sure that u have someone by ur side because cops down there are dirty and they will send u to jail if u dont give them money.

You should not influence your young cousin into drinking. Although, I believe you can drink at the age of 18 in Mexico. My sister at the age of 13 got away with it, and boy did she regret it.

if ur either 14,15ish or your taller than the counter you'll get drinks 80-90% of the time. If she's 18 like u said, and at least 5 feet tall she will be fine.
