Statistically, it's very safe. My church goes down all the time to build houses and they've never had a problem. However, a missionary friend of mine basically got kicked out of his mission because the tribe he was ministering to said they could not guaranty his safety and they thought their tribe would be punished by the government if anything happened to him. |

Depends on where you go. Big cities (DF, Guadalajara) can be dangerous, no matter what country you're in. Cities near the border (like Juarez and Tijuana) have been experiencing a tremendous uptick in crime right now, due to warring drug cartels. Many other places (such as Sonora) are much safer. |

dont let the news scare u. im going to mexico in april to visit family. as long as your with people at all times you will be ok. also if ur going with people who know places in mexico that would be even better. mexico is a nice place i was born there but havent been back sense 12 years but anyways my sister is young and has been living there all her life and she says its scary but very nice. but just like any other place in the world that is new too u of course its going to be scary cause its differnt. |
