When I was in Neuvo Vallarta, at this great hotel, I was 16, and they counted me as an adult so I was able to drink plus inside the room they had tequilla. Its is all good in my home country. Just don't act suspecious, and they won't notice anything.
Good luck and have fun!!!!!!!!! |

Dont break the law down there . its not worth it |

La Mexicana... ;)

lol, im mexican, and trust me, even if your 16, mexico is so corrupt that if you give the bartender a few extra pesos, you can have all you want. although not all hotels are like this. In cancun, laws are strict. If you look older, than im sure you may pass without suspicion. however, if its a resort they may ask for your ID.... i doubt that you will get in alot of trouble if they find out your 17...
so, to make it clear. chances are 70% that you will be able to drink without having to show your ID, and 30% that you will have to show your ID.
but again, this depends on the hotel you are in.
Enjoy your stay in Mexico! |

Dante it is...

Nah-and you don't want to because they lock you up if you get caught-and there they can hold you longer than you think>also I heard that they set younger people up to get drunk quick and you get kidnapped-bad things happen when you numb your senses... |

mmhh...depends on the hotel....All inclusives usually identify underage guests with a different-colour bracelet when booking your arrival to the hotel.
It will be easier to get some drinks in the bars, pubs outside the All Inclusive. Actually the Bars and Pubs have the responsibility of NOT sale / provide alcohol and cigarettes to the underage toursits, so if the Police discover that some club sale alcohol to u, the Mex Goverment should fine/close the Club, you will only have to attest before the Authorities how it happens. (No criminal/unaccepted behavior charges) For sure, they will call your parents and your parents will spank u to make u cray as a baby born......
But............ if u get some drinks at any Club / Bar,and you get drunk, and you start to make some disturbs in or outside the club (unacceptable behavior)...Then...the police will arrest you, and you will have to pay some cash to get out of jail. Plus your dads gonna spank u so hard that you wouldnt be able to seat your *** for an entire year.....
So....u can get drinks, but not at the Hotel.....if you get drinks, be aware of any police (to save the club's owner Aass)....and if you get drunk and you start to make some disturbs run to save yours. |

Nope. If you are in an All inclusive exort they give you a bracelet that is a certain color. Usually purple if you are staying in a palace resort. So, if you try to get into any clubs...it wont happen. The legal age is 18. Everytime you ask for a drink they will be looking at your bracelet. But good luck. Have fun but dont be dumb.
I turned 18 the day I first went there (spring break 08) with my two best friends and we were legal but we had much more fun sober. |

hot dayum =)

uhmm yeah deff. im 14 and i was there this spring break and even i got served alchohol. |

at 17 you can drink in mexico. if you are staying at an all inclusive, they will serve you as long as you get the correct resort id. this is usually a colored wrist band. non-alcohol wrist bands will be a different color.
be very careful drinking at a resort. many of the workers and other guests will take advantage of a wasted tourist. i've also seen very nice people get drunk and stupid and end up in big trouble. (thrown out of the resort, taken to jail etc...) and, hang overs on vacation, especially when it's really hot/humid suck.
mexico is a blast, have fun... |
