They are fakes... as are the 'genuine' Rolex watches and the 'name brand' perfumes... amond other things.

My wealthy Mexican friends go to Beverly Hills, Miami and New York to shop for the "real deal". However there are great hand bag and luggage knock-offs in Tijuana and Ensenada, Baja California Norte. .

Many things in Mexico are the same price as they are here, sometimes even MORE!!! You can get every single luxury good in Mexico you get here. But from my experience, luxury goods are much more expensive down there. You want a deal, visit ITALY/FRANCE...that's where you get the deal.

You'd be surprise how many wealthy & elegant people live in Mexico and are many are obviosly into AUTHENTIC designer brands, moreso than people here. The real DESIGNER wh*res live there, believe me. Give me a break, you really think these people are gonna be buying KNOCK-OFFs? NOT! Don't believe me, visit Mexico City and you'll see that many Mexican women only buy the real thing and would not be caught dead with anything less.

Not sure what part of Mexico you are going to, but in Cancun they have a mall called LUXURY and you can find these stores just to mention a few:

Lalique, Lladro, Christofle, Baccarat, Salvatore Ferragamo, Ermenegildo Zegna, Tous, Swarovski Crystal, Tiffany & Co, Cartier, Louis Vuitton, Rolex, and Longchamp, as well as purchased cosmetics and perfumes from Chanel, la prairie, Christian Dior, Issey Miyake, Clinique, Sisley, and Clarins among the many prestigious offerings.

Hey sar! I'm going to Cancun in Feb. The bags are cheaper off Hotel/resort site but they are not the REAL thing. Some call them "knockoffs". Be careful off the resort properties....

The stores in resorts or malls have the real ones but are expensive.

But in markets and in even streets you can find fakes BUT some of them looks really authentic and it's very more more cheaper.

If you will go to Mexico City I recomend you go to Pericoapa tianguis at the south of the city, if you want a fake one.

My sister lives in Canada and she's wearing a fake Louis Vouitton bag and nobody there can notes the diference.

yeah they are hell alot cheper but they are fake.
some of them look real.

They are fake - designer bags like LV, Chanel, etc. control prices globally. You can only get a slightly lower price through currency exchange rates. Don't buy them online either...

its way cheaper in Mexico City,than the US,yea some knockoff's but you have to know what your looking at and for.
