Went March 06 and had a great time. in the summer its the rainy season but then flowers and such should really be blooming and be pretty. Along the boardwalk there are plenty of bars and eating places. Free street entertainment. Fireworks from the Captian Hook ship nearly every night. Cabs are cheap. Lots of smiling faces. Good food. Tequilla and familiar corona beer :( only 4% for some reason. Have fun!!! |

You'll love it and you will meet a ton of people your age group. Downtown is hopping at night) Here is a website to do some research before you go. Enjoy.

I live in Guadalajara....which is about 5 hours from Vallarta. Been there a few times. You are going during a great vacation time. The CRAZINESS of spring break is over....but still tons of fun and partying going on. You MUST go to see: the malecon (the main center beach), the flyers (flyers from the state of Veracruz who fly without hands from a giant pole on the beach), and the sand castle art on the beach. Mexico is not cheap by any means.....so bring lots of money. However, you can live more economically if you want. Some popular bars are: The Zoo, Señor Frogs, and the all famous Cuban bar: La Bodeguita del Medio . Be sure to write your name on the wall there! It's allowed! Also....don't know if you speak Spanish or not.....but TONS of locals will bother you to buy things.....just politely say Gracias! and shake your head no. if you don't want to buy. Have fun! Vallarta is beautiful! |

Is a great place, but not for you buddie, if you are a college student, stick to the usual, Cancun or Cabo. Puerto Vallarta is more low key, is beautiful and it is fun, just not as crazy as the other 2 , so if what you are looking for is crazy spring break type fun, stick to Cancun. |

It's a good vacation spot, but just that. Me and my 4 girl cousins went about a year ago it seemed that it was more like a family vacation spot. Its not as fun as Cabo or Cancun. |

i was there last summer for almost a week. we stayed at the golden crown which is an a adult resort. of course there was unlimited beer and mixed drinks which was great. it was a nice town and would go back. PV is more of a family atmosphere. i have never been to cancun, so i think of cancun as a party place from what i hear.
if you like to party you will have a great time in PV. there are soooo many nightclubs to go out to at night. most hotels will have some kind of caravan you pay to go on. they will take you to the bars and pick you up.
we chose not to go out to clubs, since we do that all the time back home. when we went downtown to shop qnd walk, we came across sooo many clubs! so trust me, you will not be bored on your vacation!!!!!!! |

It is sooo beautiful there. My boyfriend and I went there for spring break in 2006 and it was a lot of fun. He actually proposed to me while we were there so of course you can see why else I love it but...it was such a nice area. Great food, friendly people, tons of bars and dance clubs. Our hotel was literally 30 ft from the beach. We went did a zip line, bellaying excursion which was awesome, also rented jet skis and went on a dune buggy excursion. It was so much fun. The weather was perfect everyday....I want to say like 85 everyday we were there. The night was cool but not cold by any means. This was in mid March. It was safe to travel on buses or by taxi. It isn't as crazy of a college place as like Cabo is but they do have Senor frogs and fun places like that. I loved it! If you need to know anything else feel free to email me.
