One thing to keep in mind is that the Hotel Zone of Cancun, where the Oasis Cancun is located, is known for having wonderful restaurants and an amazing party and nightlife scene. I think if you would like to relax, and you aren't too into the nightlife scene, then the Hotel Zone, and especially the Oasis Cancun will not be the ideal place for you. If you look through any Cancun travel guide, most will tell you that the Hotel Zone is the place to be for the nightlife. However, I want to make you aware that while yes, the club scene is very good, you can easily find a secluded resort and never experience any nightlife if you do not want to.

Have fun planning your trip,

Oasis cancun is a really good location, if you wanna party you can, but if you dont want to, nobody will bother you.

If you are looking for a quiet holiday, then Playacar and Playa del Carmen are a lot sleepier than Cancun, generally there are a lot more Europeans in that part of Mexico.

For the cultural trips, definately Xcaret and Chichen Itza.

Hope this helps.

Hello!
Oasis Cancun is more of a party hotel.
I would recommend the Grand Oasis.

I'm not familiar with the Reef Playacar however it sounds like it's Playa del Carmen which is 30 minutes from Cancun.
