I Need A passport!!!!?

I will be traveling by car to mexico in december 17 and will come back January 3 2008 i will need a passport where can i find a cheap website to request the cheapest i found is 216 or a place near Los Angeles im a citizen

Go to the post office and pick up a form to fill out. Next, go to a Wal-Mart and get your passport picture taken.

It's a government ID so there is no "cheap" way to get one legally.

Actually, you do NOT need a passport to DRIVE to Mexico until after summer of 2008. See webpage below and read to[ half of the page to see the current info. It is wise to have one, but you do not HAVE to have one yet.

Go to the US Post Office. You can also get an application on line. You can apply for an emergency temporary passport (like for attending to a gravely ill loved one), but it's still going to take about 3 months. You can take your chances and bring other forms of ID. If you cross around San Luis, AZ or Algadones, CA you should be OK.
