I will be staying for about 3 weeks and don't know what to expect. Part of the time will be spent in Quetero and the other part in San Luis Potosi. |

You will see poverty, beautiful scenery , stray dogs , trash burning , shacks aka "homes".
You will see parents spending time with thier children , children smiling , clothes needing a wash.
You will see beautiful flowers , open air markets with fresh goods .
You will see chickens running free , lemons and mangos littering the ground , Mom and pop tents with chairs they call resturants.
VW bugs and VW vans police with automatic rifles , dangerous electrical connections , laundry hung out to dry , palm trees.
When you travel internationally you are an observer - keep an open mind and learn :)
Have fun - you will return a different person. 3 weeks will give you a good look at Mexico. Hope you get to the beach and just enjoy the INCREDIBLE scenery ! |

Queretaro and San Luis Potosi are, in my opinion, two of the nicest, most interesting and safest cities and states in Mexico.... See links below.
I'm confident you will have a memorable time in both places. There are so many things to see and do in each place that your three weeks will pass by much to quickly.
Have a great trip! |

Take your Spanish language phrase book, drink bottled water, limit late nights and mega margaritas, smile, say por favor and gracias, explore the history of the country, look at the ruins of the many civilizations who existed before it was America, eat drink and be merry. Bien Viaje |

They say, don't drink the water, down there. Otherwise, your three weeks will be nightmarish.
Also, if you see a guy on the side of the street, and asks if you want to see a show involving a donkey... pass. That's the only thing there worse than the water. |

Don't drink the water. Seriously. Bring lots of bottled water. Buy some pure Vanilla Extract. Cheap and the best. |

Michael g is telling it like it is... San Luis Potocy is in the edge of one of the biggest desert in Americas. NO BEACHES anywhere near where you will be. as far safety, use common sense. You WILL BE a different person returning if you pay attention to the people... Look at the children closely. |
