When I came back from Mexico in March, I saw HUGE signs posted on the Mexican side stating: REQUIREMENTS FOR PASSPORTS FOR RE-ENTRY TO THE U.S. HAVE BEEN DELAYED UNTIL JUNE 2009.. you couldn't MISS the signs, they were all over the place on the Mexican side.
You will be OK with your current Passport, for now.
