I live in Mexico and I love it, but Juarez is AWFUL. it is dirty, ugly, dangerous and hotter than Hades. If you are a Mexican citizen, , please choose one of the thousands of better places in Mexico. if you are an American citizen...same thing...BUT, do you realize you cannot just move to Mexico? You must have a visa to reside here. If you come on a tourist visa, you cannot work. if you want to work, you need a work visa...very hard to get. Check into all this before you make your decision. |

My brother went there recently and against all media reports that described it as a dangerous place, he said it was really nice, but he might have been in the best area of the city. As far as I know is an industrial city full of outsourcing factories known as maquiladoras. Many executives of foreign firms live in El Paso TX and cross the border every day. It has been known for its many murder of female workers in the past 15 years. |

Juarez is Mexico's left armpit
Tijuana is it's right.
It is hot, smoggy, and the city sprawls in a greyish brown infinity of crime and extreme poverty.
Granted, there are nice areas of the city, but ever wonder why they are fenced off? |

why???? especially if you are a woman, it is highly NOT recommended as a place to live. gangs, mafia, crime, murder, border problems, crowded, you name it. there are many much better options in Mexico. |

Try another city, Ciudad Juarez is a horse manure hole if you know what I mean, same like Tijuana!. |
