I recommend you eat the tacos first. Head for Rosarito beach which is about 15 minutes from Tijuana on a cab and one hour on a bus. I also recommend you go to the bull fights (ask the cab driver). Take a stroll on Revoluccion. And stay away from Lomas Taurinas (trust me you don't want to go to that neighborhood). And if prostitution is your thing go to Cahuila Avenue on a friday or saturday night there will be about a mile of women lined up (literally a mile) waiting for you. They range from beautiful to Asian to latina. So have fun!

Revolucion Street...Lots of street vendors, cantinas, and beautiful ladies...stay away from the taxis and definitely don't go out of the city limits....don't use ATM's also. Some scamming folks down there. But it still is a blast. Beers for a buck...a bucket of beer for $8...can't beat it!!!

BE CAREFUL!!

BE CAREFUL! It's full of crime - San Diego and TJ are always in a tiff about American tourist getting hurt, mugged, etc. It's a dirty crime ridden city - and very poor. The police are corrupt. If you had more time I would suggest seeing Rosarito.

Tijuana is a dirty, crime ridden, god forsaken place that you couldn't pay me to visit. The Mexican army is in open warfare with the drug cartels in TJ. The police are corrupt and more likely to rob you than help you. Be careful...

Don't listen to these people, your chances of having any problems in Mexico are the same as in the US, so just have some fun and quit worrying about your safety.
