Unfortunatly, the currency was revalued by the Mexican government, see the link below. Old pesos are now only worth 1/1000th of the past value. They might not be accepted as currency as all.

Nothing! Banco Nacional de Mexico only recognizes new Pesos as currency, the highest denomination being 1,000 Pesos. Save it, frame it, give it to your great grand-children. |

It's absoluty right above, our peso is 11 x dollar so old pesos are 1000 x acual "new pesos" N$ so you only have 1.81 and i don't know where would be accepted your bill.

Take the bill to a bank, it's worth may change daily with the rates. Or try seeing an appaiser, because banks only take certain foreign bills (mostly current). |
