The Riu resort in Cabo is rated a higher class hotel than the Riu in Aruba. But I think either one you will have a great time. It gets down to economics. Which one is better for the budget?
Congratulations and where ever go, have a fun time

My fiance and I are getting married this September and we too have been looking into the RIU in Cabo. Read tripadvisor.com to see what others have said about the place. It had gotten mixed reviews we have found. Sounds like it is understaffed, but for the most part it sounds nice and the pictures look gorgeous.
I was in Aruba a few years ago and loved it there. Aruba is also out of the hurricane belt so if your honeymoon is during hurricane season you will want to avoid those destinations. Aruba is very laid back and you can easily get around on your own seeing that it is a small island. We are actually now looking into a cruise that makes a stop in Aruba for a day but the RIU is still on our list of possibilities.
Actually, the prices at RIU in Cabo weren't that bad. Not sure what they were in Aruba.

Don't go to Cabo in September! It's Hot! Humid! and Hurricane Season! It's nicer than Az. or Vegas. But it's not the idea month to come to Cabo!
The RIU is very nice but the food from what i heard is only OK which is bad seeing that it's an all inclusive. It is close to Cabo San Lucas though which isn't necessarily a good thing...

Hola. I have been to both, and I can recommend the Riu in Cabo definately. I found the service better, then rooms nicer, the staff friendly-er. The only thing that was better in Aruba was the beach...any place that is on the carribean side has way nicer water and beaches. The pools at the Riu cabo make up for it! What ever you pick you will enjoy.
