As soon as you arrive Mexico get the map "Guia Roji por las Carreteras de Mexico" it's sell on many differents stores, Sanborn's, Bookstores, even Touristic Places. This is the Rand McNally Map for Mexico. Of course different sizes & $$ or go to www.guiaroji.com.mx Saludos desde Mexico City (Greetings from) Buen Viaje (Nice Tripe)

download Google Earth.
Its an awesome interactive map.....of the entire earth. It will allow you to select search options such as roads and so on.
Enjoy!

Hi there, you can even plan your trip from one place to another with price for the highways and estimated time of arrival.
Go to www.sct.gob.mx and then to "carreteras" search for the link "traza tu ruta 2" then a map will display, after that you only choose your destination and origin and you're all set.
Remember that in Mexico you have to pay for using the highways.
Goof luck

Guia Roji - Don't go anywhere in Mexico without it! Just buy one when you get there, they are definetly worth it!
