I want to go to Mexico for my honeymoon in July. But i'm worried of all the bad news in Mexico.?

Avoid the border cities definitely, that's where a lot of the drug wars have been going on. Stick to either the south like Acapulco, or the east coast like Cancun, Cozumel, or Tulum. Cruise ships stop at those places daily, and those big corporations wouldn't allow people to stop in those cities if they thought it would be dangerous.
Don't wear flashy jewelry, flash wads of cash, or do something that you wouldn't dare do in NYC (like go out alone in the middle of the night or wander down back alleys). I visited Tulum & Xcalak a little over a year ago and never felt unsafe or threatened.

Beach towns don't have those problems, they might charge higher at the gift shop but it safe if you go to Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Acapulco, etc etc.

Depends how lucky you feel, do you believe in luck? Five hundred people were murdered or killed in Juarez City alone last month over the drug wars! The drug cartels are going crazy down their,but if you feel lucky go for it! I'm not trying to scare you but alot of things happen in Mexico, and the police are no where to be found! I myself don't think I'd like to start off a new marriage with some kind of trauma! Some of these other folks make it sound like peaches and cream and it can be, Mexico is beautiful, but so is the desert in Nevada and it's filled with rattle snakes! You may go and have a beautiful time and laugh at the idiot on Yahoo answers who told you to beware, or you could wined up in a bad situation and say I should have listened to that idiot! Depends on how lucky you feel. Do you feel lucky? Well do you?!!

Yea Mexico can be dangerous but mainly if you go to the real ghetto places or overpopulated like mexico city don't ever go there. But it is pretty much safe around the tourist spots you should go on a cruise to cozumel its a beautiful place google it

Border cities are the only places you need to avoid

if you go to Mexico city just stay in the touristic areas don't go out at night and don't wear jewelry. kidnappings outside Mexico City are very rare

The rest of the country is very safe, specially the south

Find a resort that has everything you want to do, also if you decide to go outside of the resort ask the hotel to call u a taxi or a tour guide. Don't get one off the street.
